Description
Chronic Asthma reports asthma treatment cases, per type of treatment and age range of patient.

Full Description
Asthma is a common chronic airway disorder characterized by periods of reversible airflow obstruction known as asthma attacks. The treatment types reported are admission to Hospitalization, Emergency Department visit, and Inpatient admission from Emergency Department. The age-adjusted rate (AAR) controls for the impact of different age structures in order to better evaluate risk levels that are independent of the age composition of the population. Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) collects and aggregates data into periods. CTData.org carries 5-year aggregations.
