    Foreclosures reports the number of pending filings and foreclosures.
  • Full Description
    Foreclosure is the legal process by which an owner's right to a property is terminated, usually due a defaulted loan. Lis Penden Filings indicate that a legal action has been filed against the property owner, but does not guarantee foreclosure or pre-foreclosure activity. It is not until a foreclosure has closed that the title is transfered to the lender. This data only accounts for populated records related to mortgages and does not capture data for personal filings against homeowners. Data are reported annually.
