    Moody's Ratings reports the rating of creditworthiness provided by Moody's Corporation.
  • Full Description
    The purpose of Moody's ratings is to provide a simple system of gradation by which future relative creditworthiness of securities may be gauged. Moody's rating scale ranks credit in the following categorical order, from highest to lowest - Aaa, Aa, A, Baa, Ba, B, Caa, Ca, C - and may append a numerical 1, 2, or 3 to designate that the rating falls in the higher end (1) or lower end (3) of the alphabetical category.
